Applications opens for Cornwall Junior Managers roles

Applications are invited for the positions of Junior Team Managers in three age groups, with roles available as the Boys U16 Team Manager, the Boys U14 Team Manager and the Boys U12 Team Manager.

This is an exciting time to become involved with the Cornwall Golf Union and Cornwall Ladies Golf Association deciding the unify to become Cornwall Golf on the 1st March 2026.

The three Junior Team Manager's roles are voluntary positions and will assist the Performance and Development Manager to manage the Junior Boys Teams in that specific age groups. Key areas within the Junior Team Manager roles are to;

• Participate in and assist with coaching sessions delivered by County Coaches and supporting skill development.
• Support team selection, preparation and coordination of team events.
• Promote good behaviour, teamwork and sportsmanship among players.
• Lead by example in conduct, communication and attitude.
• Assist with pre-match briefings, course walks and post-match feedback.
• Encourage inclusion, enjoyment and development among all players.
• Uphold Cornwall Golf’s safeguarding and welfare standards.
• Maintain good relationships with players parents.

Part of becoming a Junior Team Manager would be to complete an England Golf DBS check and complete a UK Coaching Safeguarding Course.
