
At last night's EGM of the Cornwall Golf Union, held at Lanhydrock Hotel & GC, member clubs voted in favour of dissolving the Union, with effect from 28th February 2026, as the first formal step of unification with the Cornwall Ladies County Golf Association (CLCGA).
In a strong presence, 23 of the county's clubs were represented and all voted in favour of the dissolution and the creation of a new company, Cornwall Golf Ltd, which will come in to being from 1st March 2026, with assets from both the CGU and CLCGA being distributed to the new company, which will continue as a non-profit making body.
In the General Meeting which followed, members approved the 2026 Affiliation fee be set at £15 per member per annum.
The CLCGA delegates are being asked to ratify earlier approval of their own dissolution at their AGM on Monday 1st December 2026.
