Falmouth in Action at Junior Champion Club Final
The Falmouth Juniors have made the long journey to Lincolnshire to compete as Cornwall's representatives in this years England Golf Junior Champion Club Final, taking place at Spalding GC.
The two day competition sees two of the three man teams stableford scores taken to form an aggregate total.
On Day One Falmouth's trio of Theo Davies, Aiden Jones and Rory Julian posted a 74 point total to sit in a very commendable tied 10th position in a field of 31 teams. Junior Organiser Mick Fox said "I am proud of the boys today. Take the top 2 two teams away and we are respectable considering our low handicaps". Davies scored 38 and Jones 36.
Leaders on 85 points are two teams Easthampstead and Bungay & Waveney Valley.
Now we wait to see how they get on today. Fox said "It will be another warm day but if we can manage two 38 point totals from the team today we will be in a very respectable position".
Update: Falmouth have returned a 75 point total so now sit on a combined two day score of 149. Today's 75 was made up of another 38 from Theo Davies and a 37 from Rory Julian with Aiden Jones matching the 37 points. Well done to Falmouth who finished tied 6th behind winners Easthampstead.
