SW Week 2025 Day 3 Gloucestershire Do It Again

Today (Tuesday 10th June) at Cumberwell Park GC, Wilts was the Stroke Play Qualifier for the English County Finals later this year and once more a strong Gloucestershire team will be the South West representatives at those finals.

The Gloucestershire nominated team of 6 players combined to post a total of 827 over the 36 holes, and comfortably qualify ahead of Somerset on 851. Cornwall had to settle for 5th spot on 870 behind 3rd placed Wiltshire (860) and 4th placed Dorset (865). Devon finished in the bottom spot on 897.

For Cornwall George Law was best placed (T11th) on a total of 141 (-3) with rounds of 72 & 69 whilst Matt Richards totalled 142 (71,71) to be 16th in the 72 man field. Tom Stephens finished on 144 (level) with his two scores 69 & 75. Sam Crocker returned 71 & 75, whilst Jamie Greet scored 72 & 74. Louis Archer had a tough morning  79 but recovered to an afternoon 72.

Winner of the individual was Gloucestershire's Milan Reed on a total of 131 (-13) after two great rounds of 67 & 64, just pipping team mate Brandon Skidmore on 132 made up of a 65 and a 67.
