Junior Tour 2025 Rd1 - Round Up
Bowood Park GC hosted the first round of the 2025 Junior Tour sponsored by Jewson on Easter Bank Holiday Monday (21st April). The players and parents enjoyed the venue so much last year that it was clearly at the top of the list to kick off this years tour. The course was in magnificent condition for the time of the year and our thanks goes to Max Stockwell and his team for looking after over 50 junior golfers, parents, grandparents and other family members who came to support the opening event.
18th Hole - Hotel and Clubhouse @ Bowood Park
The tour has been revised this year to attract and develop all standards of junior golfers. The 0-28 handicap group now play 18 holes. There is an added incentive with a scratch prize in each event which is also has its own stand alone order of merit across the 6 events this year. The 29-54 handicap group and the Golf Access competition remain playing 9 holes.
There was some excellent scoring from both groups particularly from the 0-28 group which played from the white tees for boys and red for the girls. Bowood is a strong test of golf, even more so on a tough breezy day as it was on Monday.
