Whilst the Cornwall Boys Team came away from the South West Four Counties Championship this week without any silverware,
there were some good performances and reasons to be confident of success going forward.
The team finished third in the Stroke play competition on Day 1 where the best 6 from 8 scores form a team aggregate total. Best Cornish performance came from Tiernan Wallwork (Tehidy Park) with a 5 over par 77. In the round robin matchplay competition Cornwall were beaten 8-6 by host county Somerset, lost 9-5 to overall winners Dorset and finished with another 8-6 defeat at the hands of Devon.
