B Team Qualifiers and Draw For Finals Day
Yesterday saw the B Team Club Championship Qualifier take place on a dry day at Truro GC with a course, like so many, benefitting from some rain during the previous 24 hours.
Falmouth took the top qualifying spot on a total of 137 made up of a nett 67 (Ryan Boott & James Dempsey) and a nett 68 (Crispin Merritt & Paul Martin). and they were just the one overall shot better than Tehidy Park on 136 (Ryan Lewis & Marco Sciuto, 66 and both Dan Isaacs & Martin Trewelha and Paul Collins & Fred Kirkland returning nett 70s).
Third spot went the way of host club Truro also on 136 (James Bassett & Graham Cowls, 67, and Morgan Craven & Martin Rowe, 69).
St Mellion clinched the final qualifying spot on 137. For them father and son David and Tom Carter shot the best nett score of the day on countback (65) with their score matched by Steve Arthur & Karl Rance (Porthpean) and Rob Atkinson & River Rojano (Cape Cornwall).
CGU President Martin Edwards has conducted a draw for the semi finals at Trevose on the last day of County Week 2025, Saturday 3rd May. Falmouth will face Truro and St Mellion take on Tehidy Park.
