Cornwall Seniors named for Glamorgan Match
County Seniors Captain Warwick Holland has named his team for their next Seniors Channel League match versus Glamorgan at Lanhydrock Hotel & GC. This takes place on Monday 1st July. The team have to date played two matches winning convincingly at home to Gwent and narrowly losing to Dorset.
Holland is forced to make some changes due to non-availability and Colin Kitt (China Fleet), Jon Behennah (Tavistock) and Steve Barns (West Cornwall) make returns to the side and their first appearances this season.
The rest of the team are: Mark Johnson (Bowood Park), Gary Hawking, Guy Norris (both Trevose), Dave Kneebone (Truro), Richard Jones (St Enodoc), Mark Blaber (Carlyon Bay) and Andy Rowe (Looe).
Hot on the heels of this match, the following Monday 8th July the Seniors team will be at Clevedon GC taking on Somerset. In what is a busy month this is followed by the SWCGA Seniors Championship at Kingsdown GC, Wilts on 17th & 18th July, where Cornwall are the defending Champions. On 29th July Cornwall Seniors will face Devon at Thurlestone GC.
