The final of the Brian Gripe Junior Knockout took place today at St Enodoc GC and it was a special occasion. Why? Well, in a slightly unusual twist ,because brothers Jack and Harry Jolliff were facing each other in a family affair final after the pair had prevailed in previous rounds.
The two boys are both members at St Enodoc and the final took place over 36 holes on the Church Course. And who won?
Well Harry was one up thru 18 holes after a close morning encounter with his elder brother. However three birdies over the first four holes in the afternoon saw him extend his lead and he never looked back going on to win 6&5.
The good news for the proud Jolliff parents is the two brothers are still speaking to each other and Jack has been very gracious since over how his younger brother played.
