U14s Have Fun as Carlyon Bay Host

There were some happy but cold faces today when a squad of the U14s Boys had a get together at Carlyon Bay. The first time that a few had seen each other in a few months plus bringing in a couple of new faces allowed a bit of team bonding ahead of the new season. A big thank you to Junior Organisers Becky and Justin Williams and to Carlyon Bay Golf Club for allowing the team to join in on their junior tee times on a course that has stood up well with the weather of late.
A format of greensomes was played with 5 sets of 2 Carlyon Bay juniors (plus 2 parents who were originally going to play a few holes together drafted in to make up the numbers) playing against the U14s boys. It was a good experience with some playing their first match play format. The matches were generally a close affair and while the result wasn't the aim of the day it was a win for the U14s 3.5-1.5.
