Rules - CAW Cornwall Bowl

The CAW Cornwall Bowl 2009

1. The competition will be known as the CAW Cornwall Bowl.
2. The competition shall be held annually, with the winners holding the trophy for one year.
3. Matches to be played between teams of ten – five foursomes, off handicap, with each game being played to a finish. Strokes received would be ½ of the difference of the combined handicaps. The competition is open to players in the 13 to 20 handicap range. A team member with a handicap in excess of 20 shall be required to play off 20 handicap. If a team member first plays in any round with a handicap of 13 or more which is subsequently reduced to below 13, he may continue as a team member, but only off his new handicap.
4. Pairs shall play in the order of the lowest combined handicaps. Should handicaps of pairs in the team be equal, the Captain shall decide the order of play.
5. In all matches, the handicaps of players shall be those certified by the Secretaries of their Clubs as being correct at the date of the match.
6. Clubs will be drawn for the first round and then proceed on a knockout basis, with all matches being played on a neutral course and on dates as arranged by the Cornwall Golf Union.
7. No player may play in the Frank Wills Salver and in the Cornwall Bowl in the same season.
