The Cornwall Golf Union was founded in 1901 and exists to promote the amateur game of Golf by various means such as the organisation of matches and Championships that serve to raise the standard and profile of the game in the County.
The County has 34 affiliated clubs and details of each club can be found on this website.
The County Union is also the representative body in the County that acts in conjunction with the English Golf Union to administer the interests of amateur golfers throughout the Country.
The maintenance of the uniform system of handicapping and the operation the CONGU Standard Scratch Scheme on behalf of the Council of National Golf Unions is also vested in the County Union.
The Cornwall Golf Union runs a County Card Scheme which allows members the opportunity to play golf at over 200 courses in the South West area.
